Memento Mori ( Remember Death)
When you give LIFE, it makes way
For the HAPPINESS that is sure to come.
It's a cause for CELEBRATION with all you love,
Such as the FAMILY you've helped grow.
Your family is TOGETHER forever,
Until one day you're ALONE, which makes way
For the SADNESS that follows.
And the HURT that suffocates you
Eventually leads to the DEATH of the one who gave life long ago.
When DEATH takes a hold of you,
And the world stills, SILENCE is all that's left.
Winds blow COLD air that surrounds you.
Clouds block everything causing DARK shadows to dance.
But suddenly LIGHT drives back those shadows,
And the SUN engulfs you in its intensity,
Such

I had asked her to be my wife. She said yes, of course, as we had been together for the past five years. We wanted to move out to the country, raise a big family, maybe even start a farm; she was fascinated with the farm life. We had a vision, some money saved up, and our seemingly never ending love for each other, and, by God, I was going to make her dreams come true.

He loved the winter. He loved the coldness, the shimmering snow, the glinting ice, and especially the silence. He loved the feeling of walking outside and having the freezing air envelop him like a chilled blanket. He loved laying in the snow and making snow angels. His favorite thing, though, about this season was not the warm and jolly holidays, nor was it the happy music that echoed through the air. Rather, it was the death of all things living. The flowers froze and died, the bugs died, if animals couldn't adapt they died as well.
He loved the thought of Death taking him away to new lands, on new adventures. As he lay freezing in the sno

Children Do Understand
Two men sat on a bench outside in the middle of a park. The older man was in his late 30's, and the younger was in his late 20's. People passed, walking their dogs, or playing with their children. But the two men just watched peacefully. A child sat on the bench next to theirs, holding his dog's leash.
The older man started with a deep voice. "Do you wanna-"
"No." The younger cut him off. A child squealed happily a few feet away.
"You know we'll have to-"
"No!" The younger said more sternly. "Not right now."
"Then what did you call me out here for?"
"I just wanted to spend time with you." There was more silence between them.
"Why?" The
